

Emergence of educational psychology starts from the first figure, William James (1842-1910) gave a series of lectures titled "Talks to Teachers". In this lecture he discussed the application of psychology to educate children. He stressed the importance of studying the process of learning and teaching in the
classroom to improve education quality. One recommendation is to start teaching at a slightly higher point above the level of knowledge and understanding of children with the aim to broaden the horizon of thought of children.
The second figure, John Dewey (1859-1952). Several important study is the first from him, we get a view of children as active learners (active learning), in which the child rather than sit passively accept the lesson, but also actively to children's learning process will be better.

The third figure, EL Thorndike (1874-1949) argued that one of the tasks of education in the schools of the most important thing is to instill children reasoning skills. Thorndike very adept at learning and teaching to study scientifically. Thorndike proposed the idea that educational psychology should have a scientific basis and should focus on measurement.
